Classic backside Snow

Snow wrapped around the Low Pressure Center. Moisture streaming from the Gulf winding around the Low pressure. Winds on the surface in the Dakota have switched to the North but the winds aloft are still from the East. The warmer air dropping frozen precipitation through the cold air to the surface.

<<< Blizzard >>>

The surface pressure pattern and the 500mb (18000') contours (blue) are conincident. That is a Cold Core system.

This image was built with the Storm Prediction Center's dynamic web page (Compmap)where you can learn a lot just playing around.

Don't have time for that" Here's a sample of indie music

Go Here for It's Your Music

My recommendation that a person should listen to 6-8 hours of alternative radio per week. About 1/2 music and half special interest -- both things that are different than what you might choose as a favorite topic. The purpose is cultural and intellectual enrichment.

It beats the hell out of TV!
