How the harvest will ever get done
Whether the rain will come in time
If the hot summer temps will wait
Interest on the land mortgage note
Fuel for the tractor that pulls the load
Past the ornamental horse pasture gate
Where the straw bales are neatly stacked
Waiting for a turn to become manure.
